Skin Tightening & Lifting
Some patients prefer a non-invasive approach to treat Cellulite, tighten skin, decrease the localized deposits of fat and tighten jowls. Dr. Milgraum utilizes the Titan, Thermage and The Accent®. Unlike monopolar devices, such as the ThermaCool™ from Thermage, Accent RF treatments can create dramatic change in the appearance of cellulite without any downtime. The Accent provides controlled radio frequency energy using Unipolar and Bipolar hand pieces, for deep and superficial penetration. The Accent RF Unipolar hand piece alleviates cellulite by; 1) skin dermal tightening, 2) heat induced fat cell dissolution and 3) enhancement of local blood circulation leading to drainage of fatty deposits to the lymphatic system.. The Bipolar hand piece promotes uperficial local dermal heating and subsequent contraction of the collagen tissue and a tightening of the skin resulting in wrinkle improvement. Elos™ devices from Syneron provides similar results.

How will your treatment work?
Treatments produce a "comfortably warm" sensation in the skin. An occasional patient may prefer a topical anesthetic cream prior to the procedure.
The area to be treated is marked in a grid then lubricated with thin layer of baby oil. A laser guided thermometer is then used to painless asses the skin surface temperature. During the Accent treatment, regular temperature checks ensure desired heating and also to ensure uniform delivery of RF energy. The skin's surface is continuously cooled the ice cold sapphire cntact piece> This provides patient comfort and protects the surface layers of the skin.
Following your treatment the oil is gently removed from the skin surface and
the area dried. No other aftercare is required and you can resume your daily
routine immediately after leaving the office.
